The College made available a variety of art and technical spaces for the use of its students, faculty and staff. These studios were managed by MICE (Makerspaces, Initiatives, Community and Exhibitions), part of the Educational Resources & Technology department.
Two Fabrication Studios—Studio 4 for technology and Studio 5 for carpentry—were equipped with tools and machinery that students could use for their coursework or personal projects. Instructions and equipment training were provided by faculty and MICE staff.
Six practice rooms of various sizes were also available for music, dance, theatre and other performance rehearsals. And there were two visual arts studios for art classes and student projects. They could also be utilised as gallery spaces.
We invite Yale-NUS community members, past and present, to collaborate with us to make these initiatives truly special.
